Dr. David Foyt, MD

Dr. David Foyt is a fellowship-trained, board-certified neurotologist serving New York’s Capital Region through his private practice in Slingerlands and as Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the Albany Medical Center. He has more than 20 years of experience, specializing in the treatment of hearing loss, chronic ear infections, acoustic neuromas, and facial nerve paralysis, balance and dizziness disorders, and cochlear implantation.  In 1996, Dr. Foyt founded The Ear Institute, a designated “Center of Excellence” for implantable hearing technology, now one of the largest and comprehensive facilities of its kind on the East Coast.

Dr. Foyt completed his medical education at  Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and ENT residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He completed advanced fellowship training in Otology and Neurotology and skull Base surgery at the world-renowned House Ear Institute in Los Angeles, California. In addition to membership in prestigious professional societies such as the American Neurotologic Society and the Medical Society of the County of Albany, he is the only Capital Region neurotologist who is an active member of the Vestibular Disorders Association.  Dr. Foyt is also a Patient’s Choice physician and continues to be named to the Capital Region Best Doctors list.
